Robert E. Lair

Robert E. Lair, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, October 26th, 2020. He was born November 24th, 1930 in Indianapolis to his parents Francis M. and Cornelius A. (Hall) Lair. He married Rosalyn M. (Greene) Lair on April 26th, 1952. He was a lifetime resident of Indianapolis.

Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosalyn M. (Greene) Lair of Indianapolis; four children: Robert C. (Katherine) Lair of Elwood, Gerald (Georgia) Lair of Indianapolis, Stephen (Lisa) Lair of Indianapolis, and Douglas Lair of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Bob previously served in the Air Force during the Korean war and later became a self employed Carpenter for over 50 years. The last few years he worked for Spivey Construction. He was a past member of the American Legion in Indianapolis. Bob was a hard working man and enjoyed playing cards especially poker. He was a family man.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 10-11 am on Saturday, October 31st during a memorial gathering at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A memorial service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
