Robert Jordan

Robert A. Jordan, 94 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Friday, June 8, 2007. He was born February 26, 1913 in Camby, IN to the late Luther W. Jordan and the late Helen M. (Allison) Drinkut. He was previously married to Evelyn Jane (Miller) Jordan. Robert married Shirley (Glick)Jordan on August 31, 1996. Robert lived in Camby, IN for most of his life. He was a member of Camby Community Church. He was a 50 year member of the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Sahara Grotto, and DeMolay Legion of Honor. Before retiring in 1979, he worked at the U.S. Postal Service for 13 years. He also was Owner-Operator of Bob's Market on Mooresville, IN selling out in 1963. Robert is survived by his Wife, Shirley (Glick) Jordan of Indianapolis, IN; 2 Grandchildren: Shawna Meitler and Shawn Jordan; and Great Granddaughter, Madsion Meitler. Calling hours for Robert will be from 3-7pm, Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Jones Family Mortuary and from 9-10am, Monday, June 11, 2007 at Camby Community Church (prior to the 10am funeral service). There will also be a Masonic Service at 6:30pm, June 10, 2007 at Jones Family Mortuary. Charles Paxton will be officiating the service and Robert will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Camby Community Church.
