Robert Carlton Havens

Robert Carlton "Bob" Havens, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, November 10th, 2023. He was born May 1st, 1942 in Wellsville, New York to his parents William C. and Carrie M. (Resue) Havens. He married Susie (Hoffman) Havens on February 14th, 1970.

Bob is survived by his lovely wife of 53 years, Susie Havens of Indianapolis; two children: Carrie Walter (Ric) of Brownsburg and Katie Havens of Indianapolis; two grandsons: Zachary Walter and Alec Walter; and one sister, Mary Havens.

Bob is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one brother, Roy Havens.

Bob was a 1960 graduate of Wellsville Central High School in Wellsville, New York. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy serving during Vietnam and discharged in 1966.

Bob started his career as a Field Specialist for Honeywell out of the Indianapolis office where he worked for 27 years and later worked for Hancock Regional Hospital in Cyber Security his last 26 years. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of West Newton Masonic Lodge #707; member of Indianapolis Scottish Rite; and member of Valley Mills Friends Meeting.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 5-8 pm, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville with Masonic services being observed at 7pm. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 am, Saturday, November 18, 2023. Pastor Rachel Doll O'Mahoney will officiate the celebration of life service at 11 am, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Bob's committal service and Military Funeral Honors will be held following the celebration of life service at West Newton Cemetery where Bob will be laid to rest.
