Rita Marrian Martin

Rita Marrian (Love) Martin, 66, of Camby, passed away Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. She was born November 25th, 1956 in Martinsville to her parents Ralph and Martha (Wagner) Love. She married the late Michael G. Martin on August 27th, 1976. She was a previous resident of Martinsville for 17 years and resided in Camby for the last 25 years.

Rita is survived by her two sons: Jack (Pamela) Martin of Louisiana and Brandon (Angela) Martin of Mooresville; two daughters: Dana Guidry of Camby and Renita (Josh) Skinner of Morgantown; 15 grandchildren: Thomas, Aaron, Brandon, Sean, Justin, Logan, Jayden, Christopher, Travis, Megan, Kyle, Peyton, Desteni, Julianna, and Jonah; 10 great grandchildren: Ben, Stella, Emily, Elizabeth, Conner, Tyler, Jameson, Axel, and Marlow; and four siblings: Ralph Love, Cheyenne Love, Brian Love, and April Love. Rita is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Michael G. Martin; one daughter, Angela Martin; and two siblings: Evelyn Carpenter and Teresa Cohen.

Rita was a 1975 graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked at Nice Pak in Mooresville for 25 years before retiring in 2022. Rita loved to sew and make blankets. She enjoyed gardening, especially her favorite flowers irises. Some of Rita's favorite things were Mickey Mouse and the color purple.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 pm (noon) to 1 pm on Monday, August 21st at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
