Richard Spitz

Richard Douglas (Doug) Spitz, 43 of Brownsburg, IN passed away Friday, August 31, 2007. He was born June 27, 1964 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Richard H. Spitz and the late Myla Jo (Rigdon) Spitz. He married Darlene S. (Fatout) Spitz on September 8, 2000. Richard has lived in Hendricks County, IN for 13 years and in Indianapolis, IN for 39 years. He was a 1982 Center Grove High School Graduate. He was a Avid Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR fan, loved to travel, loved motorcycle riding and loved doing things with his grandchildren. Currently, he was a Superintendant for Wurster Construction for 9 years. Richard is survived by his Wife, Darlene S. (Fatout) Spitz of Brownsburg, IN; 3 Daughters: Carrie Cantrell of Plainfield, IN, Courtney (Brent) McKane of Plainfield, IN, and Cylee (Craig) Russell of Germany; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Brothers, Fred (Mary) Spitz of Anderson IN and Joe (Dawn) Spitz of Tipton, IN; 2 Sisters, Carol Spitz of Indianapolis, IN and Shawn Reger of Indianapolis, IN; and also several Nieces and Nephews. Calling hours for Richard will be from 3-8pm, Tuesday, September 4, 2007 with the funeral being at 10:00am, Wednesday, September 5, 2007 both held at Jones Family Mortuary. Mike Jenkins will be officiating the service and Richard will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
