Reva Dowden

Reva Nell Dowden, 86, of Monrovia, IN passed away Monday, October 16, 2006. She was born January 13, 1920 in Linton, IN to the late Emma (Wade) and Ottis Collins. Reva married Otis H. Dowden on March 2, 1940. Reva lived in Monrovia for 47 years and was formerly of Bloomfield, IN for 25 years and Clermont, IN for 13 years. She was a 1938 graduate of Bloomfield High School and attended Monrovia United Methodist Church. Reva and Otis purchased Monrovia General Store in 1959 and operated it as Dowden's Market for 17 years and Reva Retired in 1976. Calling hours for Reva will be from 4-8pm, Friday, October 20, 2006. The funeral will be at 11am, Saturday, October 21, 2006 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Jack Elliot and Eric Kersey will be officiating the service. Reva will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Hall, IN.
