Phyllis J. Kloss

Phyllis J. (Whalen) Kloss, 77, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, September 27th, 2023. She was born September 15th, 1946 in Indianapolis to her parents William Paul and Della (Bowman) Whalen. She married Otis J. Kloss Jr. on June 26th, 1976.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Otis J. Kloss Jr. of Mooresville; one daughter, Christina Roller of Morgantown; three grandchildren: Machaela Stewart, Andrew Kloss, and Mia Roller; and one great grandson, Christopher Stewart. Phyllis is preceded in death by both of her parents; one brother, Larry Whalen; and one sister, Hazel Vernon.

Phyllis was a 1965 graduate of Mooresville High School. She was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville. She loved cooking and cooked for Fellowship Baptist College. Phyllis was also very fond of her Boston Terriers over the years. She was a Homemaker and was very active with Christina's school activities. Phyllis fondly enjoyed watching her grandchildren.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, October 2nd at Jones Family Mortuary and from 930 and 1030 am on Tuesday, October 3rd at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1150 State Road 144, Mooresville, Indiana 46158. A celebration of life service will be held at 1030 am on Tuesday, October 3rd following visitation at the church. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood.
