Peggy Brown

Peggy Lou (Britt) Brown, 83, of Camby, with family by her side, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2016. Peggy was born to Elbert and Annie (Martin) Britt on December 24, 1932 in Scottsville, KY. She married Willie Brown on June 12, 1952.

Peggy was a homemaker. She was formerly a member of Waverly Baptist Church. She was a member of North Madison Baptist - Way of the Cross Baptist Church, Five Points Baptist Church and Mooresville Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, sewing and canning. She lived in Camby for most of her life.

Peggy is survived by a daughter, Rosita Brown of Camby; a granddaughter, Tiffany Breeden of Camby; two great-granddaughters, Victoria Breeden and Brooklyn Wade; and a sister, Margie Pardue. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Annie (Martin) Britt; husband, Willie Brown; two brothers, Lenard and Earnest Britt; and two sisters, Imojean Collins and Demonia Delp.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2016 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. There will be a 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary. Peggy will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
