Paul West

Paul L. West, 80, Camby, died Saturday, September 23, 2006. He was born January 18, 1926 to the late Steven R. West and Myrtle B. (Pickett) West in Bicknell, IN. He married Emma "Frances" L.(Storms) West on November 10, 1946 and she survives. Other survivors include: son, Paul L. West Jr. of Scottsburg, IN; 7 daughters, Glenda J. Hill of Martinsville,IN, Gail L. Tolle of Texas, Paula S. Day of Missouri, Cindy I. Baldwin of Camby, IN, Juanita L. Winberg of Danville,IN, Charlotte A. Squires of Camby, IN & Tracy Cornforth of Indianapolis, IN;48 grandchildren; 46 Great Grandchildren; brother, Robert West of Greenwood; sister, Deloris Loman of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by son in law, Charles Baldwin; sisters, Claire Russell & Shirley Self; brothers, June, Raymond & Frank West; 2 grandchildren, Angie Garrett & Jericho Winberg. Mr. West was a WWII veteran. He was a member of the West Newton Worship & Youth Center and the Martinsville American Legion Post 230. Before retiring in 1972, he was a Truck Driver for US Steel for 14 years and J & L Steel for 12 years. Services will be at 11am on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the West Newton Worship & Youth Center in West Newton, IN. Jerry Tolle Sr. & Frank Gott will officiate the ceremony. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Friends may call from 2-8pm on Tuesday, September 26, at Jones Family Mortuary and one hour prior to the 11am Funeral at the church. Memorial Contributions may go to the American Cancer Society.
