It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Jacob Schneck Jr., who left this world on May 19, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on September 1, 1932, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to his parents Paul Jacob and Leona (Eyer) Schneck Sr., Paul dedicated his life to family, service, and the community. His kind spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many, and he is mourned deeply by all who knew him. He married Janet Sue (Miles) Schneck on February 15, 1992.
Paul was a proud graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1950, and later attended Penn State College. His love for his country led him to enlist in the United States Air Force, where he honorably served from March 27, 1951, until his discharge on October 19, 1953, during the Korean War. Paul's military service instilled in him a profound sense of duty and devotion that he carried throughout his life.
In 1990, Paul became the owner and operator of Cardinal Limousine in Camby, Indiana, a role he cherished until retiring in 2016. His years in the transportation industry were marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and service. Paul was an active member of Camby Community Church and previously attended Resurrection Lutheran Church, embodying his faith through kindness and service to others.
A dedicated community leader, Paul was deeply involved in numerous organizations. He held a prestigious position as Past Master of West Newton Masonic Lodge #707 and was a proud 50-year member of Lehigh Masonic Lodge #326. His commitment extended to the Scottish Rite Indianapolis Valley, where he also served as Past High Priest of Allen Chapter #203 and Past Grand Tall Cedar of Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest #41. He dedicated time to the Schnecksville Community Fire Company, where he was Past President and Assistant Fire Chief, as well as Past President of the Kentucky Colonels, Murat Transportation Club, and the Lutherans Service Club of Indianapolis.
Paul will be remembered fondly for his warm demeanor, goofy sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to family. His favorite saying, "Keep Smilin'," will resonate in the hearts of his loved ones, reminding them of the joy he brought into their lives. He loved to listen to music, tend to his yard, and travel with an Alaskan cruise being his favorite trip.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Janet Schneck of Camby; his two sons, Dwight J. Schneck (Cindy) of Paragon and Douglas J. Schneck of Florida; four bonus children: Rick Gammons (Dee) of Chicago, Steven Gammons (Lisa) of Beech Grove, Mike Gammons (Marla) of Indianapolis, and Cindy Fahrbach (Jim) of Camby; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, previous wife Jane Schneck, his brothers David and Curtis Schneck, and his beloved bonus son, Gary Gammons.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 26 with a Masonic Service beginning at 7:30 PM and from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, May 27 at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
