Paul E "Ed" Jones, 78, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, May 7th, 2023. He was born January 19th, 1945 in Muncie, Indiana to his parents Ervin J. and Sarah M. (Vardaman) Jones. He was married to the late Barbara Sue (Sturgeon) Jones on November 11th, 1989. He was a resident of Martinsville for 25 years and a previous resident of Greenwood for 20 years and Mooresville for 11 years.

Ed is survived by his 3 children: Stephanie (Larry) Decker of Greenwood, Scott Jones of Plainfield, and Christina (Richard) Swain of Mooresville; 6 grandchildren: Ricky, Jacob, Brittanie, Skyler, Chasity, and Tara; three great grandchildren: Laken, Arthur, and Nolan; one sister, Janet Corman; and special nieces: Kim Stanich and Izzy. Ed is preceded in death by both of his parents; and his wife, Barbara Sue Jones.

Ed was a Factory Worker for Allison Truck and Bus. In his early years, he was a member of the Indiana National Guard. Ed would do anything for anybody. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed following Nascar. Most of all he fiercely loved his family. He was for sure the most kind and loving person anyone could of met.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, May 15th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
