Paul Stephen "Steve" Daily

Paul Stephen "Steve" Daily, 83, of Avon, passed away Saturday, April 27th, 2024. He was born March 19th, 1941 in Indianapolis to his parents Paul T. and Dorothy L. (French) Daily. He married Gail Ann (Kirkpatrick) Daily on March 8th, 1974.

Steve is survived by his wife, Gail Ann Daily of Avon; three children: Scott Mix (Elizabeth) of Colorado, Kelly Mix (Beth) of Netherlands, and Dawn Bradshaw (Kevin) of Mooresville; four grandchildren: William Smith (Chelsea), Benjamin Smith, Alexander Troth, and Courtney Hickam (Andrew); and five great grandchildren: Carter Hickam, Cora Hickam, Claire Hickam, Channley Hickam, and Liliann Smith. Steve is preceded in death by both of his parents and his son, Steven Thomas Daily

Steve was a 1959 graduate of Southport High School and obtained his Associate's degree from University of Indianapolis. He later joined the United States Army and spent his time in Korea during the Vietnam war. Steve worked most of his life in computer technology, he was the former Vice President of Orion Group, former Senior Account Manager of Aspen Solutions Group and most recently worked for and retired from the Department of Education, serving as their Quality Assurance Analyst. He was a member of the Southport Masonic Lodge #270, Plainfield Elks Lodge #2298 and the Plainfield Eagles Lodge #3207. Steve was a spiritual man, who prayed and meditated often. He never missed a day praying for family and friends. He enjoyed fishing when he was younger and was an avid sports fan; especially basketball, he played in high school. One of his favorite things to do was go to lunch with Gail, frequenting Longhorn Steakhouse. Steve was known by many to be a very loveable, loyal, and funny man with a great sense of humor. He was loved by all that met him. Steve was a family man, who loved his family dearly and never missed a chance to spend time with them.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 7pm on Monday, May 6th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Military rites will be done in honor of Steve at 7pm following visitation at the funeral home to conclude services. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
