Patty Brown

Patty E. (Thomas) Brown, 68, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born to Grady E. Thomas and Dorothy M. (Minnish) Rayfield on September 26, 1948 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She married William R. Brown on May 11, 1984.

Patty was a homemaker. She loved playing bingo, cooking and Las Vegas. She lived in the Indianapolis area for 28 years.

Patty is survived by three children, Laura Bates of Mooresville, Shirley (Brent) Robbins of Mooresville and Bryan Nance of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Jenna Robbins (Jeremy Krause) and Breanna Bates; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ashlynn Krause; two brothers, Robert L. Thomas North Carolina and Gary L. Thomas of Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepfather, Jasper Rayfield; a brother, Grady E. Thomas Jr.; and a sister, Betty A. Miller.

Family and friends may gather for calling hours from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Billy Gott will officiate Patty's celebration of life service at 7 p.m. on Friday evening, July 7, 2017 in the funeral home.
