Patti Lynn Stevens, a vibrant soul whose creativity and passion touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on June 13, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to her parents Frank Foster and Patricia (Warren) Thomas. She married Laurence David Stevens on September 2, 1999 and the two spent nearly 27 beautiful years together. Patti's warmth and infectious smile never failed to light up a room, leaving lasting memories for all who knew her.

A proud 1974 graduate of Cheltenham High School, Patti embarked on a journey that would lead her to become a dedicated Owner and Operator of a successful printing business in Maryland for 25 years. Her commitment to her craft extended beyond mere business; it was a reflection of her creative spirit. After retiring in 1997, she found joy in her passions, becoming a member of the Romance Writers Association, where her talents blossomed, and she contributed her printing expertise. She frequently shared her love for storytelling, becoming a published author for Maryland Magazine, where she lived in a cabin and crafted a remarkable piece about a hermit living in the Cumberland mountains.

Music held a special place in Patti's heart. A member of the National Songwriter's Association, she composed many songs, including "She Rides," which celebrated the charts in Europe in 2005, showcasing her exceptional talent and creativity. In addition to her writing, Patti was actively involved with the North South Skirmish Association for seven years, further exemplifying her dynamic and multifaceted nature. She also enjoyed creating stained glass projects, a testament to her artistic flair.

Patti is survived by her devoted husband, Laurence David Stevens; her beloved daughter, Jamie Swint of Muncie; stepson David Stevens of Mooresville; and stepdaughter Julia Meyers (Cody) of Carbon, Indiana. She also cherished her step-granddaughter Madison Myers; her mother, Patricia Thomas; sisters Jane Foster, Sue McGinley, and Michelle Rossano (Fabian); brothers Jesse Thomas and Chris Thomas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and her extended family at Compass Park in Franklin. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Foster.

In this time of mourning, we remember Patti not just for her impressive achievements, but for the love and joy she brought into our lives. Her spirit will remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul that will never be forgotten.
