Patricia Susan Lilly (Garner)

Patricia Susan (Garner) Lilly, 73, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, July 4th, 2025. She was born March 19th, 1952 in Indianapolis to her parents Robert Newton Garner and Pauline I. (Rossiter) Stant. She married James Junior "Jim" Lilly on July 3rd, 1967.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, James " Jim" Lilly of Mooresville; two children: Cathy Dermond (Scott) of Speedway and Jim Lilly Jr. (Kim) of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: Tommy Poynter (Amber) of Coatesville, Lindsey Downs (Graham) of Avon, Evan Lilly of Indianapolis, and Eddie Dermond (Kayli) of Fishers; 4 great grandchildren: Will Poynter of Coatesville, Hadley Poynter of Coatesville, Louie Dermond of Fishers, and Camille Downs of Avon; one sister, Dee Marquam of Indianapolis; two brothers: Kevin Garner (Kim) of Indianapolis and Bruce Garner (Diana) of Indianapolis.

Patricia is preceded in death by her mother, Pauline I. Stant.

Patricia was a proud graduate of Decatur Central High School. She dedicated nine years of her life as a Level 2 Property Assessor for Morgan County before retiring in 2005. As a Girl Scout and Brownie leader for several troops, she fostered growth and community for a decade. Her passion for volunteering at schools and libraries in Mooresville and Waverly reflected her commitment to making a difference. With a love for reading, painting, gardening, traveling, and taking motorcycle rides with her husband, she embraced life with enthusiasm. Butler Winery held a special place in her heart as her favorite destination. Patricia cherished time spent with her family and thrived in the great outdoors. She was a beacon of strength, love, and kindness, always finding ways to make others feel valued and cherished.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, August 2nd at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
