Pamela Jeanne Hoop

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Pamela Jeanne Hoop, who left this world on August 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on April 14, 1945, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, to her parents John and Jeanne (Bratten) Stackman, Pamela brought joy to all who knew her throughout her life. She married the late Chester L. Hoop on April 9, 1988. She raised her family in Mooresville, Indiana, where she made a lasting impact with her passion for beauty as a skilled beautician and hairstylist at several local salons.

A proud 1963 graduate of Decatur Central High School, Pamela embraced life with a vibrant spirit that was as beautiful as her exterior. She had a profound love for horses and cherished the moments spent riding through scenic trails. Whether it was indulging in her favorite computer games, enjoying cards with friends at the Legion, or trying her luck at the slots and poker tables, Pamela approached every activity with enthusiasm and a zest for life. She adored her beloved miniature poodle, Callie, who was a constant companion and source of happiness.

Pamela is survived by her three children, Lisa McKinney (Larry), John Walker (Dana), and Kelly Walker (Gary Bell), who will forever cherish her memory. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Logan, Lindsay, Michael, Macy, as well as her great grandchildren Bradley, Mia, and Palmer. Pamela is further survived by her two brothers, Jack Stackman (Sandy) and Jim Stackman (Vicki), who share in the loss of their beloved sister.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her late husband, Chester L. Hoop, whose presence she missed dearly.

Pamela's kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will remain in our hearts forever. She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly among those who were privileged to know her.
