Oscar J. Weekly

Oscar J. Weekly, 83, of Martinsville, IN passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. He was born April 25, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to John William and Mary Elizabeth (Mefford) Weekly. Oscar married Juanita (Salyers) Weekly on April 15, 1952. Oscar lived in Indianapolis for 30 years and in Camby since 1962. Oscar served in the United States Navy and was a Korean War Vet. He was a superintendent for Louis Linder Construction in Camby from 1978-1996 before retiring in 1997 and was also a Lay Minister. He was a member of Marwood Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking and painting. Oscar is survived by his wife, Juanita (Salyers) Weekly of Camby; 4 children: Juanita (Mark) Mitchener of Mooresville, Oscar Alan (Don) Weekly of Whiteland, Wayne Lee (Brenda) Weekly of Martinsville and Michael Glenn (Misty) Weekly of Kokomo; 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Oscar is also preceded by 5 brothers: Paul Richard Weekly, Kenny Leo Weekly, Jim Edgar Weekly, Harry William Weekly and John Ralston. Family and friends may gather 10am-11am, Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. There will be a celebration of Life following at 11am.
