Norman Bangel, 81 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007. He was born May 25, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Victor Jacob Bangel and the late Caroline C. (Shaekel) Bangel. Norman married Viola W. (Westerfield) Bangel on August 28, 1949. Norman has lived in Indianapolis for 81 years. He was a 1944 Franklin Township High School Graduate and was a member of the West Newton Friends Meeting; confirmed in the Evangelical and reformed & United Church of Christ. Currently, he has been a Farmer all of his life. He hauled milk from the farm to the dairy for 19 years. Norman is survived by his Wife Viola W. (Westerfield) Bangel of Indianapolis, IN; 7 Children: Lewis J. Bangel of Mooresville, IN, Norma Wallman of Indianapolis, IN, James H. Bangel of Indianapolis, IN, Caroline Jaennette of Oskaloosa, IA, Wayne N. Bangel of Indianapolis, IN, John E. Bangel of Mooresville, IN, and Milton E. Bangel of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Sister: Doris Kleine of Indianapolis, IN; and 20 Grandchildren; and 6 Great Grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his Brother, Arnold "Bud" Bangel. Calling hours for Norman will be from 3-8pm, Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Jones Family Mortuary and from 10am-11am, Friday, June 1, 2007 at Zion United Church of Christ (Troy Ave.) in Indianapolis, IN. The funeral will begin at 11am Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Zion United Church of Christ. Dale Dorrell will be officiating the service and Norman will be laid to rest at Memorial Park in Indianapolis. Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Newton Friends Meeting or Zion United Church of Christ (Troy Ave.).
