Norma Jean Nusbaum

Norma Jean (Schellenberg) Nusbaum, 82, of Greenwood passed away Monday, February 12th, 2024. She was born December 13th, 1941 in Indianapolis to her parents Walter and Dorathy (Glenn) Schellenberg. Norma married Carl Glenn Nusbaum on April 6th, 1963.

Norma is survived by her husband, Carl Glenn Nusbaum of Greenwood; two children: Deborah Wine of Greenwood and Patricia Nusbaum of Indianapolis; two grandchildren: James D. Hendricks Jr. of North Carolina and Dylan R. Wine of Ohio; and one brother, Walter F. Schellenberg Jr. of Georgia.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and one sister, Mary Ann Humphrey.

Norma was a 1960 graduate of Decatur Central High School. For ten years, she worked as a housekeeper for Airport Hilton in Indianapolis. She was a Homemaker most of her life and loved taking care of her grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling while also participating on a league with her family and friends. Norma was an active leader in 4-H for several years, a member of the Daughters of America, and was a previous member of Garfield Park United Church of Christ. She was known to be a very sweet lady by all who knew her.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary.
