Nancy Smith

Nancy J. Smith, 74 years of age passed away Friday, May 22, 2009. She was born September 13, 1934 in Morgan County, IN to the late James H. and Zula (Shane) Sheets. Nancy married the late Donald Smith on October 23, 1957. Nancy has lived in Fillmore, IN for 21 years and was a 1952 Clayton High School Graduate. Before retiring in 1992, she was an assembly Line Worker for Covance in Indianapolis, IN for 10 years. She is survived by 2 Sons, Donald (Lisa) Smith Jr. of Fillmore, IN and Kyle (Lillie) Smith of Fillmore, IN; 8 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother, Edgar E. Sheets of Florida; 5 Sisters: Betty Christy of Mooresville, IN, Alice Wade of Brownsburg, IN, Lilly Cook of Monrovia, IN, Shirley Rose of Plainfield, IN, and Gladys Russell of Plainfield, IN. She is also preceded in death by 2 Brothers, James N. Sheets Jr. and Larry D. Sheets; and 1 Sister, Margorie Whaley. Calling hours for Nancy will be from 10-11am, Thursday, May 28, 2009 with the funeral beginning at 11a, Thursday, May 28, 2009 all at Jones Family Mortuary. Nancy will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery and Memorial Contributions may be made to the Day by Day Hospice, 1668 East Main St., Danville, IN 46122.
