Miriam Lucille Hogg, affectionately known as Lucy, joined the angels on March 6, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on June 18, 1933, in Bloomfield, Indiana, Lucy's journey through life was one filled with love, laughter, and a vibrant spirit that touched everyone she encountered.

A proud graduate of Lyons High School, class of 1951, Lucy went on to earn her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech in 1973. Her nursing career saw her dedicate many years to caring for others at hospitals, including her time at St. Mary's in Terre Haute and in San Antonio, Texas. Lucy's compassionate heart and unwavering dedication to her patients defined her life's work and left a lasting impact on the families she served.

Lucy was not only a devoted nurse but also an adventurous soul, who cherished antiquing and relished the thrill of yard sales. A member of the Red Hat Society for a decade, she embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm that was truly inspiring. Lucy found joy in travel, especially to the beaches of Panama, where she created countless cherished memories.

As an active member of Thrive Church in Mooresville, Indiana, Lucy was well-loved by her congregation, who admired her optimism, spunk, and warm heart. She was a beacon of joy, always seeing the bright side of life.

Lucy is survived by her 4 loving children: Debbie Harshman (David) of Bloomfield, IN, Elizabeth Sutter (Sam) of West Chester, PA, Anthony R. McIntosh (Pam) of Linton, IN, and Terri L. Hilterbrand (Mike) of Rockville, IN. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as two stepchildren, Wayne Hogg (Eva) of Arizona and Rosemarie Mathias (Mike) of Texas. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, David Hogg, and both parents, Marion Schellenger and Nina (Myers) Horn.
