Melba D. (Stephenson) Squires Nuetzman, 87, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2017. Melba was born to Elmer E. and Sylvia E. (Boffo) Stephenson on July 5, 1930 in Plainfield. She was a 1948 Plainfield High School Graduate. She married Russell W. Nuetzman on February 15, 2003.

Melba worked as a Cardiology Tech for Westview Hospital in Indianapolis for 20 years, retiring in 1995. Since 1965, she was a faithful member of Springhill Christian Center and Women's Ministries. She lived in Mooresville since 1950 and 19 years in her birthplace of Plainfield.

Melba is survived by her children, Connie Nungester, Randall (Charlotte) Squires, Richard (Kim) Squires; stepchildren, Sharon Bruce, Vicki Penick, Ronald Nuetzman, Keith (Laura) Nuetzman, Philip (Connie) Nuetzman; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Bailey and Shirley Lebo. Melba is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a daughter, Gail Squires.

Pastors William and Mark Wright will officiate Melba's celebration of life service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Springhill Christian Center in Mooresville with calling starting at 11 a.m. Melba will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
