Megan Delaina Sarkine, 23, of Mooresville, passed away on February 28, 2026.
Born on December 9, 2002, Megan entered the world surrounded by a family full of love-a love that would carry her, strengthen her, and define her life.
At just six months old, Megan was injured in a car accident that forever changed the course of her journey. Yet through every challenge, she remained a source of light and inspiration to those around her. Her life was a testament to resilience, courage, and the quiet power of simply being present. In her 23 years on this earth, Megan touched countless hearts. Her smile, her spirit, and the love she gave so freely left a lasting imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
Megan was the cherished daughter of Debra Ellen (Brickertt) Sarkine (September 22, 1972 - January 5, 2026) and Thaddeus Spencer Sarkine. The bond she shared with her mother was profound and unwavering, and while they are reunited too soon, their love endures beyond this life.
She is survived by her father, Thaddeus Spencer Sarkine; her sister, Kylie Cierra Sarkine; her grandfathers, Robert L. Sarkine and Kevin Hendrickson (Marilyn); her uncles, Robert G. Sarkine (Christina), Jerry L. Sarkine (Danielle), and Michael K. Hendrickson; her great-uncle, Paul E. Mayer (Darla Myers); and numerous cousins and extended family members who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
Megan was preceded in death by her mother, Debra Ellen (Brickertt) Sarkine (2026); her grandfather, Virgil "Butch" Brickertt (2002); and her grandmothers, Mitzi Dell Hendrickson (1999) and Deborah R. Depuy (1994).
Though her time here was far too short, Megan's life was filled with meaning. She taught those around her about patience, compassion, and unconditional love. She reminded her family daily of what truly matters-connection, perseverance, and the strength found in togetherness.
Megan's memory will live on in the stories shared, the love she inspired, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects during a public visitation on March 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville, Indiana.
