Mary Sledge

Mary Kathryn (Waggoner) Sledge, 80, of Indianapolis, died on October 17, 2005 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis on June 15, 1925 to Paul and Ailsa (Craig) Waggoner who have both previously passed away. She was a 1943 Graduate of Decatur Central High School. Mary lived most of her life in Valley Mills where she was a homemaker, member of Valley Mills Friends Church, West Newton Order of the Eastern Star, Lady's Aide for Valley Mill's Homemaker Club, and a Volunteer in Entertainment for Decatur Harborside for 6 years. Mary is survived by her husband, Harold Sledge of Indianapolis; son, Michael Sledge of Trafalgar; four grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Stephen Sledge and Brother Paul Waggoner Jr. There will be visiting hours from 2-6pm, Thursday, October 20, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville with the funeral staring at 6pm. Buck Barner will officiate the service.
