Mary Roberts

Mary E. Roberts, 72, of Plainfield, died December 14, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born April 17, 1937 in Edmonton, KY to the late Edgar Howard and Elsie Mae (Thompson) Sims. Mrs. Robert lived in Plainfield for 16 years and previously lived in Mooresville for 37 years and Edmonton, KY for 10 years. She was an owner/operator of Mooresville Flower Shop for 10 years. She was a member of Plainfield Baptist Church, loved gardening, cooking, and reading. She was a 1955 Salutatorian of Edmonton High School in Edmonton, KY. Survivors include husband Richard Roberts, 2 sons: Michael Roberts of Ft. Wayne, IN and Gregory Roberts of Fishers, IN, 1 Granddaughter Rachel Lynch, 1 Great Granddaughter Hayle Jade Lynch, 2 Brothers: James Edward and Philip Ray Sims. She was preceded by 1 brother Glenn Reid Sims. Visitation will be from 10-11am, Friday, December 18, 2009 at Plainfield Baptist Church, 1575 Reeves Rd., Plainfield, IN 46168. Memorial Serivce will be at 11am, Friday, December 18, 2009 with Dr. Michael Jenkins officiating.
