Mary Rhodes

Mary A. (Rosemeyer) Rhodes, 85, of Mooresville, IN passed away peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2015. She was born May 23, 1929 in Indianapolis. She married Lucian Barney Rhodes Jr. on December 17, 1948. Mary resided in Mooresville since 1955 and previously in Indianapolis for 26 years where she was a homemaker. Mary was a 1946 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. She enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, playing bunco, spending time with her grandchildren and she was also a big Cincinnati Reds fan. Mary is survived by 3 children: Sandy (Don) Stanutz of Houston, TX, Jim (Sue) Rhodes of Las Vegas, NV and Ed (Lisa) Rhodes of Mooresville, IN; 6 grandchildren: Nick and Ben Stanutz, Ryan, Jason, Cameron and Kylee Rhodes; honorary grandson, Brian Watson; 4 great-grandchildren: Ian, Jayce, Diego and Jacob; brother, Richard Rosemeyer; sister, Leila Hanson and several nieces and nephews., Mary is also preceded in death by her parents: Otto and Ruby Idella (Kukendayl) Rosemeyer, husband, Lucian Barney Rhodes Jr., and son, Gary Lee Rhodes. Family and friends may gather 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015 and 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, 4165 E. Allison Road, Mooresville, IN 46158. Pastor John Crump will officiate the Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 am on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary.
