Mary Matthews

Mary C. Matthews, 86, of Mooresville, IN died Monday, October 9, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital & Health Center in Beech Grove, IN. Mary was born on May 15, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Hubbard and Ada (Perkins) Moreland. She was married on October 30, 1937 to Hosie Robert Matthews. Mary was a 1938 graduate of Tech High School, member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, member of West Newton Order of the Eastern Star, and she was a homemaker. She is survived by 3 children: Ron Matthews of Plainfield, IN, Alice Turner of Indianapolis, IN, and Rosemary Jennison of Plainfield, IN, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Glover and William Moreland and 2 sisters: Ruth Akers and Edna Knowles. Visitation will be 3-7pm, Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Jones Family Mortuary and her funeral service will be at 10am, Friday, October 13, 2006 also at Jones Family Mortuary, in Mooresville, IN. Michael Alexander will be officiating the service. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
