Mary Ruth (Long) Gibson Hyatt, 76, of Kalida, OH passed away peacefully on June 28, 2015. She was born to Hubert and Jennie Lee (Hornsby) Long on August 9, 1938 in Rose Hill, VA.
Mary Ruth was a team leader-machine operator for Nice Pak for 22 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of New Life in Christ Family Worship Center. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, playing horseshoes, softball, bowling and spending time with family. She lived in Mooresville for most of her life.
Mary Ruth is survived by a son, David W. (Sue) Gibson of Kalida, OH; a granddaughter, Deanna Gibson; a brother, Bob Long of Mooresville; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Jennie Lee Long; spouse, Tolbert Hyatt; previous spouse, Granvel B. Gibson Jr.; and two brothers, Armour Lee and Ray Curtis Long.
Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 and 9-10 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastors Bill and Joyce Rooker will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. Mary Ruth will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
