Mark Allen Cottrell, 60, of Martinsville, peacefully transitioned from life to life everlasting on Saturday, April 16th, 2022. He was born March 21st, 1962 in Indianapolis to his parents, Delbert and Dorothy (Carr) Cottrell. He married Bridget (Parker) Cottrell on October 16th, 1987. He spent his childhood growing up in Beech Grove, and later moved to Martinsville where he resided most of his life. Mark is survived by his wife, Bridget (Parker) Cottrell of Martinsville; three children: Christopher (Danette) Cottrell of Zionsville, Anthony (Emily) Cottrell of Goshen, and Victoria (Zach) Bowman of Westfield; four grandchildren: Genevieve Cottrell, Gabriel Cottrell, Titus Cottrell, and Evelyn Cottrell; parents, Delbert and Dorothy (Carr) Cottrell; and two brothers, Mike (Sherrie) Cottrell and Del (Tonya) Cottrell. Mark was a 1980 graduate of Monrovia High School. After graduating, he served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1980-1984. Mark worked for Chrysler as an electrician for 27 years before retiring in 2016. He was a member of Local UAW #550. He was a member of Grace Church in Camby and later attended Westlake Church of God in Indianapolis. Mark enjoyed restoring cars—he particularly enjoyed painting and auto body work. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, an airbrush artist, and a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and WWF wrestling. Mark was also an avid lover of music in general and enjoyed playing the bass guitar. Mark cherished making memories with his loved ones on family vacation—Florida had a special place in his heart. Family and friends may show their love and support from 10 am to 1pm on Saturday, April 23rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Jim Taylor will officiate the celebration of life service held at 1 pm following the visitation at the funeral home. Mark will be laid to rest at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.
