Marie Patricia (Monroe) Gann, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, November 15th, 2020. She was born October 29th, 1946 in Peterborough, New Hampshire to her parents, George W. and Marie (Aromando) Monroe. She married Monte L. Gann in 1981. She was a resident of Indianapolis for the last 39 years. Marie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Monte L. Gann of Indianapolis; four children: Dawn Ceppa of Pennsylvania, Chris Dunn of Speedway, Shelley White of Pennsylvania, and Dana (Garnett) Cook of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren: Amber Henderson, Chelsi Henderson, Justice, Chance, and Keaton Dunn, Ashley, Tim, and Cheyanne Bryant, Michael White, Scott and William McFarland; 8 great grandchildren; three brothers: James, Thomas, and George Monroe; and one sister, Kelley Fletcher. Marie is preceded in death by both of her parents. Marie worked in the records department for Harborside Healthcare in Indianapolis for 20 years before retiring in 2011. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. Marie loved knitting and watching movies. She was known for being a very strong woman. Family and friends may show their love and support from 1 to 2 pm on Friday, November 20th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home. Marie will be laid to rest at Mooresville Cemetery in Mooresville.
