Margaret June Justice, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Indianapolis, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 23, 1932, in Patoka, Illinois, to her parents Leonard Crothers and Mayme (Richards) Doane. She married the late Richard William Justice on January 17, 1957.
Margaret was a woman of elegance and grace, known for her giving spirit and her unwavering support of others. After graduating from high school, she obtained a Business certificate and embarked on a distinguished career as an Administrative Assistant with the United States Department of Agriculture. She dedicated 33 years of her life to the A.S.C.S. State Office, later continuing her professional journey with Nicholas Sales and Marketing in Indianapolis for a decade before retiring in 1997. In retirement, she cherished her time as a receptionist alongside her daughter at Craig, Kelley, and Faultless Law Firm, where her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Margaret was an active member of N.A.R.F.E. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including crossword puzzles in the paper, reading, playing cards, dancing, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her infectious laughter and gentle wisdom touched many lives, and she was a source of comfort and solace to those in need, always offering a kind word or a listening ear without judgment.
Margaret is survived by her cherished daughter, Kelley Justice of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Tyler and Justin Elsbury; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Andrea; and her son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Elsbury of Mooresville. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her loving husband, Richard William Justice, and her daughter, Stacey Justice-Elsbury.
In celebration of her life and legacy, a series of services will be held on March 20, 2026. The family will welcome guests for a public visitation at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM, honoring Margaret's life and the profound impact she had on all who knew her. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will be held at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville, where she will be laid to rest.
Margaret June Justice will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, forever remembered for her kindness, elegance, and the love she readily shared with the world.
