Margaret Ellen Eicher

Margaret Ellen "Marge" (Shaffer) Eicher, 80, passed away on October 3, 2021 in Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Grapevine, TX. She was born in Amboy, Indiana on September 27, 1941 to the late George Shaffer and Mary (Royer) Cooksey. She was married to the late Larry Eicher. She was a resident of Mooresville for most of her life.

Marge is survived by her 5 children: Bob (Debbie) Claprodt of Mooresville, Alan (Cathi) Eicher of Mooresville, Brian (Debbie) Eicher of Greenwood, Tracy (Steve) Milby of Kentucky, and Peter (Crista) Eicher of Florida; nine grandchildren: Adam and Jared Claprodt, Cyli Hart, Ashton, Charis, Austen, Whitley, and Hudson Eicher, and Alysia Legler; two great grandchildren: Micah and Kinsley Claprodt; one sister, Emma Chorrushi; and two brothers: James (Jenny) Shaffer and Jake (Brenda) Shaffer. Marge is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Larry Eicher; one sister, Mary Ann Scrougham; and five brothers: Richard Shaffer, Raymond Bess, Archie Cooksey, George Cooksey, and Ivan Cooksey.

Marge was a LPN for 27 years for various healthcare facilities. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and member of Grace Church for many years. Marge enjoyed cooking, hospitality, and spending time with her family. She especially loved reading and traveling with family.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Additional visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am on Friday, October 8, 2021 in the Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Taylor will officiate the celebration of life service at 11 am on Friday, October 8, 2021.
