Margaret Crafton-Delong

Margaret C. (Plummer) Crafton-DeLong, 84, of Mooresville, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2017. She was born to Charles and Cecile (Allred) Plummer on August 11, 1933 in Mooresville. She was a 1951 Mooresville High School Graduate. She is widowed from Horace Crafton and Max DeLong.

Margaret was a proud homemaker. She attended Plainfield Christian Church. She loved her cats and enjoyed working in the yard. She lived in Mooresville all of her life.

Margaret is survived by two loving daughters, Dana Lee Crafton of Mooresville and Jayne Ellen (Richard) Stafford of Mooresville; daughter-in-law, Mariruth Crafton of Mooresville; three grandchildren, Angela Tarver, Jasup Smith and Michael P. Stapleton; seven great-grandchildren, Jordyne, Jayden, Madysin, Lexis, Rylan, Makayla and Wyatt. Margaret's family would like to acknowledge the following special people involved in her care: Pam, Paula, Patty, Tammy, and Crystal. She is preceded in death by her parents; both spouses, a son, Michael Crafton; and a sister, JoAnn Mynatt.

Family and friends may gather for calling hours from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, October 9th and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10th in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Chaplain Larry Stewart will officiate Margaret's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10th in Jones Family Mortuary. Margaret will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
