Maranel (Hart) Pruden, 93, of Camby, IN passed away peacefully in her home on January 8, 2026. Maranel was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 3, 1932 to the late Robert Guy Hart and Anna Marie (Walters) Hart. She married the love of her life, Marion Arlen "Randy" Pruden on November 18, 1951 and they were married 66 years.

Maranel was a 1950 graduate of George Washington High School and later attended St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing. In her professional career, she worked with her husband Randy, where she served as Co-Owner and Secretary for Mooresville Paint and Body shop for 42 years.

As a passionate and active woman, she served in the Smyrna Shrine Guild and was a faithful and former member of Mooresville First United Methodist Church.

With many interests, Maranel enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, playing cards, fishing, going to their lake house at Lake Lemon and traveling with her husband Randy to the Shrine Parades with their antique cars. She also possessed a special talent of playing the piano. Above all, her pride and joy were her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Many of her friends and family would characterize her as sincere, loyal, loving, giving and patient.

Maranel is survived by her 3 children: Vicki Tompkins (Kenny) of Russellville, IN, Rhondi Taylor of Camby, IN and Robbi Lollar (Kevin) of Camby, IN; 6 grandchildren: Angie Brooks (Burt) of Butlerville, IN, Steve Ferguson (Kelly) of Mooresville, IN, Dana Haggenjos (Tony) of Camby, IN, Morgan Lollar (Jeannie) of Carlsbad, CA, Kassie Fordice (Bill) of Russellville, IN and Mandy Jackson (Shawn) of Certerville, IN; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 pm, Tuesday, January 13th with additional time from 10-11 am, Wednesday, January 14th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville, IN. Reverend Carolyn Reed will officiate the celebration of life service at 11 am on Wednesday, January 14th. Maranel will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery next to her husband, Randy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital at donate.shrinerschildrens.org or Indy Honor Flight at www.indyhonorflight.org.
