Mable Derbyshire

Mable Mae Derbyshire, 102, of Mooresville, IN, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2013. Mable was born to John & Nellie (Thorpe) Bryant on June 17, 1911 in Indianapolis, IN. Mable married John Derbyshire on September 9, 1933. Mable was a Homemaker. She enjoyed painting and needle point. She lived in Avon, IN for most of her life and Greenwood, IN for several years. Mable is survived by her two children, David (Carolyn) Derbyshire of Nashville, IN and Judith (Larry) Walker of CA; six grandchildren, Dana (Tom) Dunn, Devon (Tom) Gill, Delaine (Randy) Warriner, John David (Christina) Derbyshire, Brian and Michael Walker; two step grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Adams and Terri Brazill; nine great grandchildren, Drew, Daniel, Darian, John David, Jake, Hallie, Carley, Micah and Ally; four step great grandchildren, Shay, Sean, Blair and Natasha; one great great granddaughter, Kailynn and three step great great grandchildren, Owen, Gwen and Conlan. Mable is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Bryant; husband, John Derbyshire; four sisters and one brother. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 11-12 noon, Friday, August 23, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. LD Campbell will officiate the 12 noon celebration of life service on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Mable will be laid to rest at Washington Park East.
