Luther Lane

Luther Francis Lane, 89, of Martinsville, IN died April 25, 2005. He was born January 30, 1916 to the late James Lane and Katie (Donaghey) Lane. He married the late Mary A. (Levin) Lane December 22, 1947. He was a member of Willow Grove Nazarene Church in Martinsville, IN. Before retiring in 1978, he was a Custodian for Poston Road School in Martinsville, IN. Previously, he was employed by Indiana Drain & Tile in Brooklyn, IN for many years. He is survived by 4 Children: Sharon Greene of Martinsville, IN; Frances Tutterow of Martinsville, IN; Beverly Tutterow of Martinsville, IN; Rev. Stephen Lane of Georgia; 11 Grandchildren: Danett Racine, Eric and Andrea Tutterow, Heather Sims, Ryan Tutterow, Sarah Collins, Priscilla Greene, Heidi Moore, Max Paul Greene II, Amelia Tutterow & Aaron Lane; 3 Great Grandchildren: Cierra & Zion Sims and Malachi Moore; 2 Brothers: Clarence Lane of Martinsville, IN; Thomas Lane of Monrovia, IN; 1 Sister: Marie Lawson of MO. He is preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Rosalie Lane; 1 Grandson: Stephen Francis Lane II; 1 Brother: Truman Lane; 5 Sisters: Martha Bowlin, Mary Hubbard, Bertha and Dixie Oxford, Margie Lawson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday April 27, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral will be at 10am Thursday April 28, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. He will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville, IN. Memorial Contributions can be made to Gideon's.
