Lovie Nell (Kidd) Porter, 76, of Franklin, passed away Monday, May 6th, 2024, at home with her husband by her side. She was born October 6th, 1947 in Cave City, Kentucky to her parents David Kidd and Helen (Curry) Burch. She married Paul Porter on January 3, 1999.
Lovie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Paul Porter of Franklin; two children: Michael Crane of Louisiana and Brenda Frampton (John) of Zionsville; two brothers: Bob (Linda) Kidd of Needham and Leon Thompson of Indianapolis; two sisters: Joann Chunn (Johnny) of Indianapolis and Doris Jean Harmon (Don) of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren: Kevin Brown, Kayla Frampton, and Kasey Crane. Lovie is preceded in death by both of her parents; three brothers: David, Joe, and Randall Kidd; and two sisters: Allene Turner and Verlein Hardy.
Lovie attended Tech High School in Indianapolis. She previously attended Camby Community Church then started attending West Newton United Methodist Church. Lovie has an entrepreneurial mind as she worked in insurance most of her life. She also worked in housekeeping at Hendrick Hospital. Lovie enjoyed crafting and was very talented in her works, she would set up booths at flea markets calling her booth 'Lovie's Creations'. She also loved working with flowers and making wedding arrangements.
Friends and family may show their love and support during a graveside service led by Deacon Steve Hardy, at 11 am on Saturday, May 25th at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
