Loretta Hicks

Loretta Hicks, 70 of Monrovia, IN passed away Monday, January 14, 2008. She was born August 19, 1937 in Richmond, KY to the late L.C. Richardson and the late Irene (Stone) Richardson. She married Stanley E. Hicks on August 25, 1957. Loretta has lived in Monrovia, IN for 21 years, Indianapolis, IN for 12 years, and in Illinois for 8 years. She was a 1956 Warren Central High School Graduate and attended Georgetown College in Kentucky for 1 year. She was a very active member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Hall, IN. Loretta was a Homemaker, but did work as a Unit Secretary for St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove Labor and Delivery for 16 years before retiring in 1998. She also taught Kindergarten for 2 years in Eminence, IN. Loretta is survived by Husband, Stanley E. Hicks of Monrovia, IN; 6 Children: Douglas (Doris) Hicks, Jeffrey Hicks, Brook (Jim) Weidman, Sharon (Stefan) Bathory, Kara (Vance) Miner, and Pamela (Steve) Starks; 13 Grandchildren; 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Calling hours for Loretta Hicks will be from 3-8pm, Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Friday, January 18, 2008 at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Hall, IN. The Church Elders will officiate the service and Loretta will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, IN.
