Linda J. Morgan

Linda J. (Brackett) Morgan, 69, of Mooresville, passed away Thursday, September 30th, 2021. She was born September 7th, 1952 in Indianapolis to her parents, Clarence E. Brackett and Iris R. (Brummett) True. She married William G. "Bill" Morgan on March 27th, 1970. Although she spent her younger years residing in Indianapolis, she was a resident of Mooresville since 1977.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, William G. "Bill" Morgan of Mooresville; four sons: Michael W. Morgan of Sullivan, James G. (Christina) Morgan of Indianapolis, Joshua A. Morgan of Mooresville, and Matthew J. (Meegan) Morgan of Greenwood; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and two brothers: Roger (Ladonna) Brackett and Ron Brackett. Linda is preceded in death by both of her parents; and one brother, Steve Brackett.

Linda is a 1970 graduate of Warren Central High School. She was a School Teacher in the Mooresville Consolidated School system for 18 years. Linda enjoyed working in her flower garden. She had a love of going to the beach. Linda's life work was being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and to always be able to teach.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, October 13th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A memorial service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Linda will be buried following services at the Indiana Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
