Lessie Calton

Lessie Calton, 84 years of age passed away Monday, December 28, 2009. She was born December 31, 1924 in Bright Shade, KY to the late Willie R. and Ethel (Smith) Smith. Lessie married General H. "Bud" Calton on November 28, 1944. Lessie lived in Camby, IN for most of her life. She was a member of the Martinsville Church of God; Martinsville Omega Group, and enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She was also a Homemaker. Lessie is survived by her Husband, General H. "Bud" Calton of Camby, IN; 6 Children: Ernestine Abrams of Greenwood, IN, Jewelene McGinnis of Mooresville, IN, Larry W. Calton of Indianapolis, IN, Anna M. White of Camby, IN, Randell D. Calton of Mooresville, IN, and Jenny Lee Hammons of Greenwood, IN; 16 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother, Eugene Smith of Manchester, KY and 2 Sisters, Pauline Grey and Lois Jones both of Manchester, KY. She is also preceded in death by 1 Daughter, Debra Kay Calton and 4 Brothers. Calling hours for Lessie will be from 3-8pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 and from 9-10am, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Pastor Don Hill will officiate the service and Lessie will be laid to rest at Washington Park East in Indianapolis, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Martinsville Church of God, 1410 S.
