Leslie Schubert

Leslie P. "Les" Schubert, 52, of Mooresville, IN, died on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Leslie was born to Louis B. & Leonarda K. (Grady) Schubert on May 11, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN. Les graduated from Monrovia High School in 1977. He married Gwendolyn F. "Gwen" (Dunbar) Schubert on August 18, 1984. Les was a Machinest for Allison Transmission Plant 14 for 33 years, retiring in 2009. He also worked for Heartland Golf Course for 2 years. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church where he was involved in several activities. He was a Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 7431. He has lived in the Monrovia and Mooresville area all of his life. He was an avid golfer. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter. Les is survived by his wife, Gwen Schubert of Mooresville, IN; 1 son, Stephen Dunbar of Mooresville, IN; 1 daughter, Leslie "Nicole" Schubert of Mooresville, IN; 1 granddaughter, Madison Faye Dunbar; 7 brothers, Louis L. Schubert, Larry B. Schubert, Leo J. Schubert, Loren P. Schubert, Lowell V. Schubert, twin brother, Lynn E. Schubert and Lloyd Schubert; 8 sisters, Leonette A. Chapman, Lucille "Judy" Lentz, Louise M. Ash, Loretta K. Hagan, Linda F. Schubert, Lisbeth E. Simpson, Leona R. Harting & Lill J. Dukate; several nieces and nephews. Calling will be from 2-8pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:30pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Father Mark Gottemoeller will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 10am.
