Laurel Scott

Laurel Jean Scott, 77, of Mooresville passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006. She was born June 1, 1929 in Waverly, IN to the late Bert and Millie (Ward) Hyatt. Laurel was married to Billy J. Scott on October 19, 1968. She lived in Mooresville, IN for most of her life. Laurel was a 1947 Mooresville High School Graduate. She loved to read books and write letters. She attebnded Waverly Baptist Church. Before retiring in 1991, she was a Bookeeper for L.C. Cassidy and Son in Indianpolis, IN for 15 years. She is survived by her Husband, Billy J. Scott of Martinsville; 7 Children: Gary Myers of Whiteland, IN, Linda Smith of Boggstown, IN, Larry Scott of Indianapolis, IN, Joyce Steel of Indianpolis, IN, Randy Scott of Brownsburg, IN, Darlene Pierle of Indianapolis, IN,and Teresa Falvy of Indianpolis, IN; 17 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters: Frances Dwiggins and Janice Hinton both of Martinsville, IN. Calling hours will be from 2-8pm, Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Jones Family Mortuary and there will be a Graveside Service at 10:30am, Friday, June 16, 2006. Memorial Contributions may be made to Riley Children's Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at JONES FAMILY MORTUARY.
