Laura Ann Smith

Laura Ann Smith, 54, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away in her home on September 27, 2021. Laura was born on September 1, 1967 to James and Shirley Ann (Gunn) Smith. Laura grew up in Mooresville and later attended Mooresville High School. She was an appraiser for J and L Glass in Mooresville. She loved everything outdoors, especially camping, boating, fishing, gardening and riding motorcycles. She was a strong, kind, independent woman and great mom and meemaw. Laura is survived by her three children: Ross Thrasher of Indianapolis, Jessica Thrasher of Camby and Latisha Thrasher of Brooklyn; six grandchildren: Emma Tackett, Autumn Tackett, Braxton Thrasher, Riley Payton, Brian L. Tackett and Promise Thrasher. Laura is preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 and 10 am to 11 am, Thursday, September, 30, 2021. The celebration of life will be held at 11 am, Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the funeral home. Laura will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
