Laura Marine

Laura Evelyn Marine, 92 of Vevay, IN passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007. She was born January 27, 1915 in Brooklyn, IN to the late Emmett Hamilton and the late Flora Mae (Lewis) Hamilton. She married the late Everett R. Marine on January 5, 1934. Laura has lived in Vevay, IN since 1996 and in Mooresville, IN for most of her life. She attended Mooresville Church of God. Laura was a former member of the Pythian Sisters, and she enjoyed quilting, crocheting and loved to fish. She was a wonderful baker, but most of all she enjoyed preparing wonderful meals for her family to enjoy. Before retiring in 1975, she was a Supervisor for the Bemis Bag Company in Indianapolis, IN for 25 years. Laura is survived by her Daughter, Ellen (Larry) Tolbert of Vevay, IN; Daughter in law, Shirley Marine of Mooresville, IN; 6 Grandchildren: Brent, Dale, Daniele, Shannon, Michael, and Kyle; 12 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by 2 Sons, Emmett Myron Marine and Duane Marine; Great Granddaughter, Angel Shae Craft; Brothers: Albert, Charles, Lowell, and Ernest Hamilton; and Sister, Opal Walker. Calling hours for Laura will be from 12noon-2pm, Monday, August 27, 2007. There will be a Graveside service on Monday, August 27, 2007 following the calling hours beginning at 2:30pm. Jeremy Towne will be officiating the service. She will be laid to rest at Mooresville Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Switzerland County YMCA.
