Larry Scott Harding

Larry Scott Harding, 56, of Plainfield, passed away Sunday, March 26th, 2023. He was born June 30th, 1966 in Indianapolis to his parents Larry C. Harding and Sandra L. (Flynn) Bartley. He married Kimberly Jaye (Busbee) Harding on December 17th, 2022. He was a resident for Mooresville for most of his life and most recently a resident of Plainfield since 2020.

Scott is survived by his wife, Kimberly Jaye (Busbee) Harding of Plainfield; four step children: Rachel, Riley, Katy, and Isabella; one daughter, Kayla Harding; one son, Cameron Harding; one sister, Angela Fallert of Terre Haute; one step grandson, Brady; several grandchildren; mother in law, Julie Busbee; father in law, Keith Busbee; and brother in law, Josh Busbee. Scott is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Scott was a graduate of Southport High School. He later joined the United States Marine Corps and discharged in 1989. Scott was a Truck Driver for A & C Trucking. He was a Firefighter with Mooresville Fire Department and Brooklyn Fire Department from 1990 to 2012. Scott loved to go fishing, hunting, camping, talking on his CB radios, going to horse auctions with his father in law, cooking out on the grill, and driving dump trucks. He was known by many as a strong willed person, a fighter, and has survived things most people dont.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, March 31st and from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, April 1st at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 1st at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
