Kory Elizabeth Calderhead

Kory Elizabeth Calderhead, 23, of Niles, Michigan passed away on September 27, 2015. She is the beautiful daughter of Michael T. and Krystal E. (Jenkins) Calderhead born on September 12, 1992 in Beech Grove, IN. She graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 2011. For the past 2 years, Kory was a CNA for Woodland Manor in Elkhart, IN. She loved her patients. She was also attending Ivy Tech to further her nursing degree. She attended Mt. Gilead Church in Mooresville and Faith Church in Martinsville. She was warm and caring. She loved to sing and participated in Mooresville High School Choirs. She loved her kitten, Biff and her new pup, Mitzi. She enjoyed decorating her new home. She lived in Mooresville, IN for most of her life. Kory is survived by her parents, Michael and Krystal Calderhead of Concord, NC; two sisters, Michelle Calderhead (Phillip Gross) of Chicago, IL, Allyssa Calderhead (Derek Fleetwood) of Fort Mill, SC; a brother, Mason Calderhead of Concord, NC; Fiance, Brad McWilliams of Niles, MI; grandparents, Robert and Nancy Jenkins of Terre Haute, IN, Nick Calderhead of Springhill, TN; three uncles, Mark (Alda) Calderhead of Brussels, Belgium, Jim (Shelly) Calderhead of Springhill, TN, Jeff Jenkins of Tampa, FL; an aunt, Diana Jenkins of Lake St. Louis, MO; and many cousins. Kory is preceded in death by a grandmother, Judy Calderhead. Family and friends may gather from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1 and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, October 2 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Terry Crist will officiate a celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 2 in Jones Family Mortuary. Kory will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
