Konita Young

Konita (Konnie) Kaye Young, 59 years of age passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007. She was born August 18, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Richard Sauer and the late Rozan (Henderson) Sauer. She married Jerry W. Young on September 28, 1974. Konnie was formerly from Indianapolis, IN for 41 years and has lived in Mooresville, IN for the last 18 years. She was a 1965 Decatur Central High School Graduate and attended Indiana University (Bloomington) for 2 years. She was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church. Konnie played the piano for Camby Community Church and was a member of the Monthly Euchre Club. For the past 2 years, she has been a Legal Secretary for Bingham Summer Law Firm in Indianapolis, IN. Previously, she was a Legal Secretary for Ice Miller Law Firm in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years. Konnie is survived by her Husband, Jerry W. Young of Mooresville, IN; 3 Children: Cyrus Young of Mooresville, IN, Twins: Jon Young of Mooresville and Lauretta Young of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Sister, Barbara (Frank) Burks of VA; 2 Brothers, Richard (Nancy) Sauer of Avon, IN and Ronald (Melissa) Sauer of Avon, IN; and Several Nieces and Nephews. Calling hours for Konnie will be from 4-8pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2007 and the funeral will be at 10:00am, Thursday, August 16, 2007 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Steve White, Robert Carter, and Charles Paxton will be officiating the service and Konnie will be laid to rest at Duncan Cemetery in Nashville, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
