Kenneth "Mike" Thacker

Kenneth "Mike" Thacker, 75, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on Sunday, December 19th, 2021. He was born January 31st, 1946 in Sullivan to his late parents, Kenneth W. and Eileen (Shepard) Thacker. Kenneth married the love of his life, Virginia F. "Ginnie" (Martin) Thacker on June 21st, 1970. He was a resident of Mooresville for most of his life. Kenneth is survived by his "darling" daughter, Tara (Aaron) Wilson of Mooresville; two loving grandchildren: Allyson and Cooper Wilson; four younger brothers, who he adored: Brad Thacker, Greg Thacker, Walt Thacker, and Rob Thacker. Kenneth is preceded in death by both of his parents; and his wife, Virginia F. "Ginnie" (Martin) Thacker. Kenneth was a 1964 graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis. He later joined the United States Marine Corps. Kenneth was a manager of Standard Grocery before becoming a franchisee for Archway Cookies. After retiring, Kenneth loved riding his motorcycle and the many trips with the Blue Knights and taking many vacations with family and friends. He was a member of American Legion Post #1111 and Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. Kenneth was known to his grandchildren as "Pappy" and they were his world. Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 22nd and from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, December 23rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Reverend Gene Deverick will officiate the celebration of life service at 11 am on Thursday, December 23rd following visitation at the funeral home.
