Kenneth R. Lashbrook, 81, of Monrovia, IN, died on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Kenneth was born to Harley & Shirley (Hazel) Lashbrook on April 27, 1930 in Harrodsburg, IN. He married Thelma (Collier) Lashbrook on October 5, 1990.
Before retiring in 1995, he was a Machinest for Federal Mogul in Mooresville, IN for 40 years. He has been a Monrovia, Indiana resident most of his life. He loved dealing cars and attending auctions.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Collier) Lashbrook; 2 daughters, Joyce (William) Bright of Greenwood, IN & Doris Ogborn of Indianapolis, IN; 1 son, Kenneth R. Lashbrook Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; 2 step sons, Michael (Susan) Willis of AR & Joseph (Judy) Collier of VA; 9 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles Lashbrook of FL and 1 sister, Nina Shears of Bloomington, IN.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Harley & Shirley (Hazel) Lashbrook; 1 daughter, Lisa Leann Lashbrook; 1 brother, Vernon "Bud" Lashbrook & 1 sister, Jewell Holcomb.
Calling hours will be from 4-8pm, Thursday, May 5, 2011 and from 10-11am, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Rev. Bob Uhlar will officiate the 11am funeral service on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Kenneth will be laid to rest at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, IN at 1:45pm on Friday, May 6, 2011.
