Kenneth R. "Kenny" King Jr.

Kenneth R. King Jr., 68, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, September 11th, 2025 . He was born October 21st, 1956 in Indianapolis to his parents Kenneth R. and Linda (Badgley) King Jr. He married Charlene (Sweazey) King on July 1st, 2001.

Kenny is survived by his wife; daughter, Amy Kinkead of Indianapolis; son, Donald W. McGlothlin (Jennifer); 11 grandchildren: Jacob, Casey, Don III, Samantha, Tyler, Jonathan, Vanessa, Nicholas, Lauren, Mark and Kaitlyn; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Randy King; sister, Kim Stanton (Jim) and sister in law, Pamela Sue Estep.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny was a 1975 graduate of Decatur Central High School where he excelled at both basketball and football. He continued his education by attending Indiana Institute of Technology in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Most recently, Kenny worked for Stoops Trucking for 20 years delivering parts.

Kenny loved all sports, as he was a huge IU, Colts, and Indiana Fever fan. He also enjoyed attending Nascar races and was an avid golfer. He even played softball and basketball for many years in adult leagues. Kenny was also a proud member of the American Legion Post #64.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, September 15th and from 9 to 10 am on Tuesday, September 16th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, 4161 East Allison Rd. Mooresville, IN 46158.. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, September 16th following visitation at the Banquet Center. Funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
